Adding a Domain

Generate a new access key for another site.

Adding a Domain to Your Plan

Your Vibe SEO plugin plan covers a set number of websites. A plan does not activate one site forever. It gives you a number of access keys, and each key runs Vibe SEO on one WordPress site. When you want to run the plugin on another site you already pay for, you do not buy a second subscription. You generate an extra access key from your account and paste it into the new site. This lesson shows exactly how, and what your domain limit means.

Where this lives

Everything happens on your customer portal at /my-account/ on the Vibe SEO site. Sign in with the email you subscribed with. On the Your products section you will see your Vibe SEO Plugin window. Under the plugin name is a usage line that reads your plan and your domain allowance, for example "Single Domain, 1 domain, 1 in use" or "Unlimited Domains, unlimited domains, 2 in use". That line is the quickest way to see whether you have room for another site.

Understanding your domain limit

There are three plugin plans, and each sets how many sites you can run at once:

  • Single Domain, $45/mo, covers 1 site.
  • 3 Domains, $75/mo, covers 3 sites.
  • Unlimited Domains, $129/mo, covers as many sites as you want.

"In use" counts every key that is not cancelled, whether it is already activated on a site or still waiting to be pasted in. As long as you are under your limit, or on Unlimited, you can add another domain for free. The new key bills under the same subscription, so nothing is charged when you add it.

How to add a domain, step by step

  1. Go to /my-account/ and sign in.
  2. In the Vibe SEO Plugin window, look for the green + Add a key button on the right. It only appears when your plan still has an open slot. If you do not see it, you are already using every domain your plan allows. Skip to the pro tips below.
  3. Click + Add a key. The button changes to "Generating" for a moment while Vibe SEO mints the new key under your plan.
  4. A New key added window opens showing your new access key in a gray box with a blue Copy button beside it. Click Copy. The button confirms with "Copied!".
  5. Read the reminder in the window: paste this key into the Settings page of the WordPress site you want to activate Vibe SEO on. Go install the plugin on that new site if you have not already, open its Vibe SEO Settings page, and paste the key to activate.
  6. Close the window. Your portal reloads and the new key now appears as a row in your keys table.

What a good result looks like

Right after you add a domain, the new key shows in the keys table with a status of Awaiting activation and "Not yet activated" under Activated on, because you have not pasted it into a site yet. Your usage line also ticks up, for example from "1 in use" to "2 in use". Once you enter the key on the new site and it checks in, that same row flips to Active and the site address appears under Activated on. That is the finished state: one Active key per site, each on the plan you pay for.

Add a key versus reassign versus upgrade

The single most common mistake is buying a whole new subscription when you did not need to. Before you do anything, decide which of these three you actually want:

  • Add a key is for running Vibe SEO on an additional site while keeping the sites you already have. Use this when you have room under your limit.
  • Reassign domain, the row action in the keys table, is for moving a key off one site and onto a different one. It cancels the old key and issues a fresh one. Use this when you are replacing a site, not adding one.
  • Upgrade is for when you are out of room. If you are using every domain your plan allows, the + Add a key button disappears and a note tells you to reassign a key to a new site, or upgrade your plan for more. If a higher tier exists, a purple Upgrade button lets you move up. It charges only the prorated difference right away and unlocks the extra keys immediately, so + Add a key becomes available again.

One more thing to know. A new key is only "added", not "activated", until you paste it into a real site. If you generate a key and never use it, it still counts against your limit as an in-use domain. Copy it, paste it, and confirm the site turns Active so the slot is doing real work.
