A Monthly Routine That Compounds

The recurring checklist that keeps rankings climbing.

A Monthly Routine That Compounds

SEO is not a set-it-and-forget-it project. Rankings drift, links break, and pages that once pulled traffic quietly lose it. The fix is not a heroic cleanup twice a year. It is a short, repeatable loop through the tools you already have inside Vibe SEO, run on the same day every month. Thirty to sixty minutes, done twelve times a year, compounds into a site that stays healthy while your competitors let theirs rot.

This lesson gives you the exact sequence, the real tools at each step, and what a finished pass looks like.

Step 1: Read your monthly report

Open Vibe SEO, then Reports. Create one report and set the Frequency to "Monthly (1st of month)". Add your own email (and any teammates) under Recipient emails. Leave the default Sections checked: Recently published posts, Top GSC pages by impressions, Striking-distance keywords, and Top 404s logged. You can also add New redirects added, Average Vibe SEO score, and Pillar pages plus cluster sizes. Skip "Biggest GSC position movers" for now, since that section is a placeholder and does not report data yet. Keep Active checked and Save.

Do not wait for the next cron run to see it. Click "Send now" on the report row to email yourself a copy immediately. Read that digest top to bottom. It is your agenda for the rest of the routine: which pages earn impressions, which queries sit in striking distance, and which URLs are throwing 404s.

Step 2: Run the scanners

Go to Site Wide Assistant, then the Scanners tab. There are six scanners: Link, AI, Grammar, SEO, Google Signal, and Duplicate. Each has its own "? How to use" panel. Run at least these three every month:

  • SEO Scanner: checks titles, meta descriptions, and headings per page. Work the issue list worst pages first, fix, then re-scan.
  • Link Scanner: flags broken, nofollow, insecure, and missing-anchor links. Fix the link, or whitelist it so it stops being reported.
  • Google Signal Scanner: checks indexability signals like noindex, redirects, and canonical. Clear any unintended noindex on a page that should rank.

Scans are queue-driven and process in the background, so start them and come back once they finish.

Step 3: Refresh decaying content

On the Vibe SEO Dashboard, the Keywords panels read your real Google Search Console data. Two tabs point straight at pages worth reviving. Striking distance lists queries you rank 5 to 20 for with at least 25 impressions, where small on-page tweaks push you toward the top. Low CTR lists pages with high impressions and weak clicks, which usually means the title tag and meta description need a rewrite. There is also a content-decay read that surfaces landing pages whose clicks dropped versus the prior window.

Pick two or three of those pages and open them in the editor. Mark a tired text block by typing the [[REVAMP]] tag at the very start of it, and the Revamp buttons appear on that block. Revamp rewrites Avia text blocks in your brand voice using your OpenAI key (set it under Setup, OpenAI connection). Every rewrite is backed up, so you can restore the original if you do not like the result. While you are in the page, tighten the title and meta description too.

Step 4: Publish

Publish the refreshed pages and any new posts. Then re-run the SEO Scanner on the pages you touched to confirm the fixes actually landed. A fresh publish date and improved copy are exactly the signals search engines reward.

Step 5: Check GBP

Finish on Google Business Profile in two places. GBP Performance, a tab on the Dashboard, shows Total impressions, Website clicks, Calls, and Direction requests for your connected location, with a 7, 28, 90, or 180 day range selector. Note that Google's data lags two to three days. Compare this month against last. Then open GBP Automation and click "Scan for opportunities" for a short, prioritized list you can deploy in one click. Approve any negative-review replies it drafted and held for you, since those are never auto-posted.

What a good result looks like

  • Reports shows one Active monthly report, with Last sent dated this month.
  • Your scanner issue lists are short, and the important pages carry no unintended noindex.
  • Two or three decaying or striking-distance pages have been rewritten and republished.
  • GBP metrics have been reviewed, with no review replies left waiting for approval.

Pro tips and common mistakes

  • Do not try to fix everything. Clear the top few items per scanner and move on.
  • Revamp needs an OpenAI key and works on Avia text blocks. It blocks writes when a conflicting page builder is active, so do not expect it everywhere.
  • Always re-scan after a fix. Assuming a change worked is the fastest way to ship a silent mistake.
  • Run this on the same day each month. The compounding comes from the habit, not the heroics.
