The Setup Wizard
Build the business profile that feeds everything else.
The Setup Wizard
The Setup Wizard is the first thing you run in Vibe SEO, and it is the most important. In a few short steps it builds your business profile: your name, industry, service area, contact details, services, and brand voice. Everything the platform does later reads from that profile. Your schema markup, your local and virtual city pages, the AI that rewrites and writes content, and the Service Areas tool all pull from the answers you give here. Get this right once and the rest of the platform speaks in your voice about your business.
It is a one time setup, but you can always come back to it.
Where to find it
Go to Vibe SEO, then Setup, in your WordPress admin menu. If setup is already complete, the page tells you so. To re-open it and edit your answers, add ?vp_reset=1 to the Setup page URL.
At the top you will see numbered steps: Business Basics, Location and Contact, Services, Brand Voice, Integrations, and Review and Finish. Any step you have already finished becomes a button, so you can click a number to jump straight back and change something. You can only jump backward, never skip ahead, because each step checks your answers before moving on. If you have typed something and not yet clicked Continue, jumping away warns you first, since unsaved edits on the current step are discarded.
It fills itself in first
When you open the wizard, Vibe SEO scans your homepage, your contact page, and any JSON-LD schema already on your site, then prefills the fields for you. You will see a blue note where this happened. Review what it found and fix anything wrong. There is an Auto-fill from my site button, and a Re-scrape site button on later visits. Re-scraping overwrites the fields with a fresh read, so use it as a deliberate reset.
Step by step
Business Basics. Enter your Business name, which is the only required field. Add your Industry, for example dental, HVAC, plumbing, or legal services, which the AI uses to tune its examples and tone. Your Website URL is detected automatically from this WordPress install. If it is wrong, change it under Settings, General, Site Address.
Location and Contact. This is where you set your service area with an interactive city picker. Tick the nationwide box if you serve the entire United States. Otherwise pick a state, click Load cities, and the list loads from OpenStreetMap. Tick the cities you cover. Any city within your chosen radius of a ticked city is highlighted green so you can grab neighboring towns fast. The radius defaults to 25 miles and you can change it or turn it off. You can filter the list by name, add a city manually by name, or clear your selection. If you would rather describe your area in words, open the "Prefer to describe it in words instead?" box, though the typed text is only used if you do not pick any cities. Below that, fill in Phone, Email, Street, City, State, and ZIP. Your phone number is cleaned up automatically, so vanity numbers become digits and ten digit numbers come back formatted.
Services. List each service you offer with a short one line description. Use Add another service for as many as you need. These ground your schema output and content suggestions in what you actually do.
Brand Voice. This is the system prompt the AI uses across every tool. It comes prefilled with a sensible default. Edit it to match your tone, putting facts and guardrails first and polish second. Each tool, including Revamp, Generation, and Blogger, adds its own rules on top of this. Clear the box entirely if you want to set it later under Revamp, Rewrite system prompt.
Integrations. Both are optional. An OpenAI API key powers Revamp and Blogger. Everything else, including Schema, the Site Wide Assistant scanners, Virtual Pages, Service Areas, Block Variations, and Generation's non-AI flows, works without one. Block Variations matter most when you generate many city or service pages: they rotate the wording block by block so each generated page reads as unique rather than a thin duplicate. Your key is stored on your own site only and is never sent to vibeseo.com. Pick a default model, with gpt-4o-mini as the standard choice. Use Skip OpenAI to move on without a key. Google Search Console is not entered here. You connect it after setup from the dashboard's Search Console card.
Review and Finish. Check the summary table, then click Finish setup. Your profile is saved, your picked cities are handed off to the Service Areas tool as a ready batch, and you land on the dashboard.
What good looks like
A complete profile has a real business name, an accurate industry, a service area that reflects where you actually work, clean contact details, your real services listed, and a brand voice that sounds like you. The common mistake is rushing past the scanned values without checking them. Read every field, correct anything the scan got wrong, and only then finish.
